The manufacturer's reference 44132 applies to different materials and cutting conditions. For non-alloyed aluminum with a hardness below 100 HB and a strength below 350 N/mm2, a feed rate of 0.040 mm/rev and a cutting speed of 100-160 m/min are recommended. For aluminum alloys with a silicon content below 10% and a hardness below 180 HB and strength below 600 N/mm2, the same feed rate and cutting speed are recommended. For aluminum alloys with a silicon content above 10% and the same hardness and strength characteristics, a feed rate of 0.025 mm/rev and the same cutting speed are recommended. For thermoplastics, a feed rate of 0.022 mm/rev and a cutting speed of 40-70 m/min are recommended.
